17th Annual First Team Veterans Day Reception

The 1st Cavalry Division Association will sponsor a Hospitality Suite and small gift shop from 9-12 November and will host the 17th Annual First Team Veterans Day Reception which will be held on Wednesday, 11 November 2026, at 1830. The cost to attend the reception is $50 per person.

Wreaths will be placed at the World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam Memorials as they are each year on Veterans Day, 11 November. The ceremony conducted at the World War II Memorial begins at 0900, the ceremony at the Vietnam Memorial begins at 1300 hours, and the Korean War Memorial ceremony is at 1500 (if you choose to attend). Join us in DC for Veterans Day.

If you would like to participate or watch the National Veterans Day Parade in D.C., it will be on 8 November at 1200. It runs along Constitution Avenue, starting at the National Archives and marching to the White House

This year we will be placing a ceremonial wreath at the Desert Shield/Desert Storm approximately 1600 hours. The memorial is located at the southwest corner of Constitution Avenue and 23rd Street NW. This wreath will be the first with many more to follow. As of now there is no formal ceremony planned on Veterans Day. Updates will be posted as information changes.

The 1st Cavalry Division Association will host the 17th Annual First Team Veterans Day Reception on Wednesday evening 11 November 2026 at the Crowne Plaza Washington National Airport Hotel, 1480 Crystal Dr., Arlington, Virginia.
- A Reception will be open at 1830.
- For reservations please send $50 per ticket to the 1st Cavalry Division Association, 302 N. Main St., Copperas Cove, TX 76522-1703.
- Full payment must be received no later than 30 October 2026
